The Riverdale Children’s Theatre is honored that many families, in their time of grief, ask for donations to be made to our organization in lieu of flowers.
Dr. William Herbert Friedman
May 16, 1933 - August 14, 2021
The Riverdale Children’s Theatre offers our most sincere condolences to the family of Dr.William Friedman of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2021. Bill was a personal family friend of RCT’s Becky Lillie Woods, and was instrumental in the creation of the
David Lillie Professional Development Fund.
Bill had lifelong devotion to music and education, which can be traced back to his time here in New York. As a boy, he attended the High School of Music and Art, as well as The Juilliard School, majoring in piano and the cello. Thank You to his wife Liz and his family, who asked in leiu of flowers that all donations be designated to RCT.
In Bill’s memory, all of the donations received will be used to underwrite our free performing arts high school and college audition prep for kids from The Bronx and Yonkers.
